Synopsis
Rosa is an illegal immigrant without a residence permit. After having been deceived, she wanders through the streets of Milan without a place to go. Exhausted, she gets shelter in a café, where a clash with the other customers will arise for apparently trivial reasons that will, however, result in unexpected outcomes.
Country Code +39 depicts a feeling of discomfort common to all the great cities’ inhabitants who, trying desperately to keep a certain balance, turn each sensation into extreme feelings, getting often to extreme behaviours such as hatred or prejudice. By experimenting the sole use of live sound, this short film lets unnatural urban noises emerge, which sweep through our most intimate places and become the soundtrack of our everyday life.
