Synopsis

Lucia, a young Brazilian woman, left her country with a suitcase full of hope and dreams for a better life. After two years of underpaid work and compromises, her idea of a better future fell apart, forcing her to make extreme decisions.

Director’s notes

Country Code +55 (Brasil) is the second episode of the series. The story was inspired by many interviews to immigrant women who are working in inhuman conditions, trying to give a better future to their children.

Most of the time those children are raised by their grandparents in their native land and they will not see their mothers until they are adults.

In same cases the they will never see them again…
